Insalt Battle-Axe was a joint design project with Nonstopfillets to rattle up the rod industry in Australia.
Our goal was to produce an ultralight PE4 that felt like a PE2 to use. The design team was put to the test when we also said we wanted the rod to be affordable and also have high quality Fuji K alconite guides.
After extensive testing we found the Battle -Axe to be such a fun rod to use. They really do feel like a PE1.5-2 with the capabilities of PE4. The rods preformed well jigging up good dhufish, metre long snapper and big dolphin fish and also deadlifting 5kg in our dry testing.
